Overview:
The FrSky TW SR8 Receiver is a compact 2.4GHz receiver designed for fixed-wing aircraft and other RC models that benefit from integrated stabilisation and advanced telemetry. Built for use with FrSky’s TWIN protocol, it operates using simultaneous dual-band 2.4GHz communication, improving signal reliability and redundancy by maintaining two active links between the transmitter and receiver.
Equipped with eight PWM output channels, the TW SR8 is well suited to traditional servo-based aircraft installations, while additional SBUS input and output ports provide expanded channel capability and signal redundancy when used with compatible devices. The receiver also supports FBUS and S.Port telemetry, enabling bidirectional communication for telemetry data and control through a simplified wiring setup.
A key feature of the TW SR8 is its ADV Stabiliser system, a gyro-based stabilisation platform that enhances flight stability and control. This system expands on traditional stabilisation receivers by allowing configurable stabilised channels and multiple flight modes such as stabilisation, auto-level, hover and knife-edge assistance for fixed-wing aircraft. The receiver also incorporates onboard sensors that monitor telemetry data, such as altitude and vertical speed.
The TW SR8 also includes a Blackbox data recording function and supports over-the-air firmware updates, allowing pilots to update receiver firmware wirelessly through compatible FrSky transmitters.
