Overview:
Lightweight, fast and exceptionally efficient on 1S power, the Happymodel Crux3 1S ELRS is a compact 3-in-toothpick FPV drone designed for pilots who want agile freestyle handling and impressive performance without the weight and complexity of larger quads. Built around a minimalist open-frame toothpick design, the Crux3 combines low all-up weight with efficient propulsion, allowing it to achieve strong acceleration, smooth cruising characteristics and surprisingly long flight times from a single 1S battery. At the centre of the platform is the CrazybeeX flight controller with integrated SPI ExpressLRS 2.4GHz receiver and 5-in-1 AIO architecture, combining the ESC, flight controller, receiver and VTX into a lightweight, compact system. Paired with EX1202.5 6400KV brushless motors and Gemfan 3018 propellers, the Crux3 delivers a highly responsive flight feel while maintaining excellent efficiency on 1S LiHV packs. The low overall weight also contributes to reduced prop wash and smoother cornering performance during freestyle manoeuvres and racing lines.
The analogue FPV system uses the lightweight Caddx Ant camera together with an onboard VTX capable of outputting up to 400mW, providing a low-latency video feed suited to both proximity flying and open-space cruising. The integrated ExpressLRS receiver offers reliable long-range control performance and low-latency link quality while remaining fully compatible with ELRS transmitters. Combined with the simple, lightweight frame structure and easy maintenance access, the Crux3 has become a popular choice for pilots wanting an efficient and highly portable toothpick-style FPV drone.
