Overview:
The HDZero Gamma 45A HD-Ready AIO is a compact, digital-first all-in-one flight controller designed for 2.5-4 inch FPV drones, using the popular 25.5×25.5mm Whoop / Toothpick mounting pattern.
Built around the STM32G473 MCU, the Gamma provides ample processing headroom for modern Betaflight features, while keeping builds clean, simple and dependable.
The Gamma features a built-in ExpressLRS 2.4GHz serial receiver, removing the need for a separate RX. This reduces wiring, saves valuable space and eliminates one of the most time-consuming steps when building compact digital FPV drones.
Purpose-built for digital FPV systems, the Gamma includes a standard digital VTX plug and a protected 8V/3A high-power BEC, allowing easy connection of modern digital video transmitters such as HDZero, DJI, Walksnail and OpenIPC. A secondary 5V/3A BEC is also provided for LEDs and additional peripherals.
To further optimise the board for digital-only setups, the analogue OSD chip has been intentionally omitted. This saves space and makes the Gamma an excellent choice for compact digital builds using VTX units such as the HDZero Whoop V2 or HDZero Freestyle V2.
The integrated 32-bit 4-in-1 AM32 ESC delivers clean, stable power with improved transient response during rapid throttle changes. Each motor output supports 45A continuous current with up to 60A burst, helping to minimise voltage spikes, brownouts and component stress. The ESC supports 3-6S LiPo batteries for high-performance flying.
All motor and I/O pads are castellated and edge-mounted, making soldering easier and improving serviceability in tight frames. The board can even be mounted upside down while retaining full access to all I/O pads. The layout is optimised for tidy wiring and straightforward integration of peripherals such as GPS modules, LEDs and buzzers.
