Overview:
The HDZero Whoop V2 VTX is the evolution of the Whoop Lite VTX, designed for pilots who want the same HDZero performance, but with improved durability, reliability, and ease of installation. It supports all HDZero MIPI cameras, including 540p 90, 720p 60, and 1080p 30 modes, the Whoop V2 delivers up to 200 mW of clean, low-latency HD video over 5.8GHz.
A thicker PCB provides greater impact resistance (addressing a common failure point of the Whoop Lite), a factory-soldered wire harness with Betaflight standard digital VTX plug simplifies installation. A brass antenna retention bar keeps the U.FL connector secure through minor crashes and vibration. With its compact 31×31mm footprint and 25.5×25.5mm mounting pattern, the Whoop V2 fits everything from 80mm whoops to 4" micro drones.
Notes:
- No reverse-polarity protection - incorrect wiring will permanently damage the unit.
- Ensure ≥ 1.5A available current when powered from a 5V pad.
- Direct 1S power may dip below 3V on throttle punch-outs, causing video loss.
- External capacitor recommended for 3S setups.
- Includes M2 rubber grommets and a brass antenna bar for secure mounting. For high-speed racing, consider the HDZero Race V3 VTX which has a more common 20x20mm mounting pattern for 5" builds.
