Compared to the previous Skywalker series, the V2 range introduces Hobbywing's Driving Efficiency Optimisation (DEO) technology, improving throttle linearity while reducing ESC operating temperatures and increasing overall efficiency. Selected models also feature reverse thrust braking, allowing compatible aircraft to significantly reduce landing roll for shorter, more controlled landings. An integrated search mode can drive the motor to emit an audible tone, making it easier to locate a model after an off-field landing.
Each Skywalker V2 ESC is supplied pre-programmed for fixed-wing aircraft and supports a wide range of safety features, including low-voltage cut-off, thermal protection, abnormal input voltage protection and throttle signal loss protection. The range also benefits from high-quality switching or linear BECs depending on the model, ensuring reliable power delivery to receivers and servos without the need for an external regulator on most installations.
