Overview:
KD5 is a 5" quad designed to carry an action camera or just a DJI O4 Pro. It places motors inside the arms for the lowest profile 5" possible, and has a unique I-beam design made of vertical arms clamped between two continuous plates. This creates an insanely strong and stiff structure, while packing a huge number of features into a 95g frame. The weight and efficient design allow up to 9 minute flight times with an action camera.
KD5 has no props in view on the O4 Pro at any angle, and no props in view on an Action 5 down to about 10 degrees. It has a GPS mount in the middle that's isolated from everything else, and antenna mounting for ideal separation. The battery is bottom-mounted with dual straps for easy hand launch/catch, and a lower moment of inertia for improved performance. It even has 30.5x30.5mm KDCM Lite mounting holes on top for flying larger payloads. It's a very tight build with only 15mm height internally, yet still has space for a full stack, VTX, GPS, diversity Rx, and capacitor. KD Drones state this frame kit is designed for advanced quad builders. For more information, check out their YouTube channel *here*.
