Overview:
The TBS Unify Pro32 Nano 5G8 V1.1 is well-suited to 3″–5″ racing drones and micro builds where reliable video performance is essential without adding undue mass to the quad. It combines a tiny, lightweight design with robust RF output options up to 500mW and advanced transmission features such as CleanSwitch and PitMode, which help reduce interference and allow safer power-ups mid-session with other pilots. Its ability to switch channels reliably via OSD, flight controller or an onboard button makes it flexible for tuning and race environments.
Zero interference while in Pit Mode has now been achieved. Anyone who has had to repair a quad, mid-race, will know the frustration of being unable to power up and test without interfering with other pilots. Pit Mode solves this by reducing the VTX output power to an ultra-low level (well below single-digit milliwatts), allowing you to power up your quad and still see a usable video feed. With a range of less than one metre, you can safely check and test your system before placing the quad on the start grid. Using SmartAudio or CRSF, the VTX can even be powered on directly from your transmitter.
SmartAudio provides full UART control of your video transmitter, allowing key parameters such as output power, band, channel, and frequency to be adjusted remotely. Control can be achieved via a smart device (with a TBS Crossfire system and an external Bluetooth or Wi-Fi module), directly from your radio (TBS Crossfire with a TBS Tango or OpenTX-compatible transmitter), or through the on-screen display using systems such as Betaflight OSD or TBS CORE PRO.
This nano VTX offers an excellent combination of configurable power, race-friendly features and minimal weight, making it a popular choice for competition pilots and agile FPV builds that need dependable 5.8GHz video without compromise.
